Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Laravel Developer to join our growing development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in PHP and Laravel while working on exciting and challenging projects. You will be involved in developing web applications, maintaining and enhancing existing systems, and contributing to building high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using Laravel.
Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
Debug and troubleshoot issues with existing applications.
Perform unit testing and participate in the QA process to ensure software quality.
Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements.
Work with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Assist in the maintenance of databases, including data migrations, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, especially in PHP and Laravel.
Contribute to the overall success of the development team by completing tasks on time and with high quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in PHP and knowledge of object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with Laravel or a similar MVC framework.
Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and SQL.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and troubleshoot code.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Preferred (Not Required):
Experience with Vue.js or React.
Familiarity with Laravel’s ecosystem tools like Laravel Forge, Laravel Envoyer, etc.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, etc.).
Education and Experience:
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Previous internship or junior-level experience in web development (optional but a plus).
